Mina Aleks is a journalist, novelist, and linguist born in Yugoslavia, and raised between Serbia and Germany. After graduating from the University of Belgrade with a Bachelor’s in journalism and political science, she specialized in Balkan politics. During the time of Milošević, labeled as a political dissident and an enemy of the regime, she took refuge in the United States. New Jersey is now her home.

Her debut book, Road Atlas to Love, won Best Romance at the Beach Book Festival in New York. It has also been featured at the London Book Fair, New York Book Expo America, Frankfurt Book Fair, JourneyWoman Magazine, and the St. Petersburg Times.
